Any joy with getting the Celfain Vain stuff up on gmail
I wont get the chance to do it until the weekend.
Maybe IH Rich Rags will get the chance to listen to some Aussie glam.
Ok any probs let us know & i'll take the stuuf on cd-r & put it up.
Lindsay if its easier email mp3's to me or Marky & we'll put em up for ya or send to whoever wants em. If there's anything we can help with let us know
Easy boys, I seem to have touched a nerve there.
Moi was having a little jokette!
Well i've been here for two and a half years and never heard of an Oz glam band. I will have to do my research and let you know whats happening out here. Meanwhile I will continue to listen to 20 year old rock music. Crue will will be huge here soon.
Oh I did see a Marilyn Manson lookalike at Central station once (eyeliner, bootstraps, the lot).
Thought to myself " eeee when I were a lad"
<font size="4" face="Arial">I see from your details that you're from Sydney. The main scene is currently in Melbourne, but in sydney you should check out Hell City Glamours and possibly Sass Rockera.Quote:

lovely stuff will go grab em
got the deArrow trax. Nice stuff.
Personally i think it's better than roxus. Roxus were good live, but their recording were only average in my opinion.
Grabbed the De Arrow the other day -enjoyable stuff
Thanks for the tip Glam Junkie, will check out these bands ASAP.
GREAT STUFF, AWESOME BAND!!! LINDSAY, THANKS AND I CAN'T WAIT NOW FOR THE REST OF THEIR SONGS!!!

OK, you can pick a fight with me if you like, but the best band out of Aus in the last twenty years are ...............THE SCRAMING JETS
About as subtle as electric underpants.

Screaming Jets/RR would have made a cracking little
tour.
D.
Does anyone know how I can get into this GMAIL GLITZINET ACCOUNT? I would love to get some of this stuff!!!
IH their's a Screaming Jets Song where the singer sounds very much like you in parts.
Can't remember name of song, will let you know.
I did'nt think the Electric Underpants album was very subtle either Ian.
Roxus was a great AOR Melodic Hardrock band.
I talk to Juno(vocalist) who now lives in California. He's been writing and working on more of an acoustic rock sound.
Can't wait to her the rest of the Celafain Vain stuff
lindsay - cheers for the tracks. Ya gonna upload the rest
yeah,I'll do it when I go to bed as when I go to upload I cannot do anything else with my computer. This machine is about 10yrs old so it really struggles.
I enjoyed the screaming jets earlier stuff, but not so much the stuff over the past 7-8 years.

Just a thought Lindsay - try sending emails with attachments to the email address - know it defeats the purpose of the gmail drive but if this helps
since I can't get into the glitzinet folder on gmail, I'm adding some tracks to one of the other folders on gmail- sleazerocker
THANXXX YA LINDSAY!!! GOT THE REST OF THE TUNES AND I'M FEELING IN "HEAVEN" WITH THIS STUFF!!! HA HA!!! HAD TO CHECK IF JUNE 2005 OR JUNE 1989!!! NICE TO FIND PEOPLE MAKING "THAT NOIZE" IN THIS MILLENIUM!!! AWESOME!!!
Loving this stuff. cheers for posting em for us Lindsay
Had another good listen to this now I'm home - great stuff. If ya ain't picked em up yet -suggest ya do - some fine stuff
I'm not sure when it was actaully recorded, but I think it was a few years ago now. It's sensational stuff, but they never got a deal. Some of the guys have now gone onto form Sebasrockets, although the style has more of a punk influence now.
Anyway, gla you all liked em!
Could anyone help me get in to get some of this stuff? If I'm allowed of course....!
I got it now. Celefain Vain are downloaded...and this is GR?AT stuff!!!!
Strider check your pm's
<font size="4" face="Arial">Hell City Glamours are touring Australia in august so make sure you chech them out. As an extra incentive they will be playing with Sebasrockets, of which 2 member were formerly in Celafain Vain.Quote:

Sebasrockets aren't as glam as Celafain Vain, more Big Bang Babies meets The Mistakes, as opposed to Celafain Vain who have a real Star*Star feel about them in my opinion.
For the exact dates, check out www.hellcityglamours.com
The deadthings are also playing shows around OZ in july. Not sure of all the dates but check out their site www.thedeadthings.com
cheers
Lindsay
Any news about The Five Venoms? I'm told their
guitarist is even better than Eddie Van Halen.
D.
Am I in the same country, all I hear in Sydney is Twenty year old Rock tunes and Matchbox 20, must be listening to the wrong Radio station.
Oh and Jet every two minutes.
Help!
Radio... what is that?
Australian radio is absolute commercial crap. Honestly, i have not listened to music on the radio for 5 years, cos as you say all they play is stuff like matchbox 20 interpsaced with a bit of mellencamp and u2.
You won't find out about any of the new crop of bands on the radio or press... you'll just have to check out the local band scene and discover them from there. the hell City gig will be a good start.
cheers
lindsay
Haven't heard them yet.
I'll have to bit of diggin around and see what i can find out.
Most bands will only play melbourne and sydney, so Adealdie (where i am) more than often misses out.
cheers
Lindsay
